ABOUT THE FABULARY

The Fabulary is an imprint of Marmoset Media, a publishing company based in San Francisco, CA.

The Fabulary publishes beautiful fiction and nonfiction, in quarterly themed issues. Issues for 2004 include The Book of Fabulous Beasts, Sharing the Moment of Death, Around the Neighborhood and Around the World, and In the Beginning: Stories of Creation.

Each issue is a joint effort of contributors, editor, and publisher, and each contributor retains ownership of his or her work. The Fabulary currently offers no products for sale, but please inquire if you are interested in a particular piece; your inquiry will be forwarded to the author or artist.

The Book of Fabulous Beasts, an anthology of illustrations and stories about mythical creatures, begins publishing in Spring 2004. The Book of Fabulous Beasts was conceived and is directed by its editor, Jasmin Chua. Interested writers should send a story pitch (with a suggested word count) plus writing samples. Interested artists should contact Jasmin for more information.

Around the Neighborhood, Around the World is also scheduled for Spring 2004. Please contact editor Bethany Polentz with queries, pitches, or illustration concepts.
